Call.Me Privacy Policy

We don’t collect or share any personal data.

This is what Call.Me has been built for.

At Call.Me, privacy is built into the core of our product and technology. We have a strict no logs and no history policy and do not collect any personal data or communication content. As soon as a Peer-to-Peer communication is established, all of your messages, calls and content are transferred to your contacts directly from device to device without going through our servers.

Because of the way our Peer-to-Peer technology works, all your content, messages, photos, videos, files, audio and video calls are transmitted in a secure way directly between parties in communication and as such is never transmitted and/or stored in any way on Call.Me services or servers.

When you send a message or make an audio or video call with someone who is also online, a direct peer-to-peer connection is established between your respective devices, and all data is then exchanged directly without transiting via our servers. This means that it is technically impossible for us to access the content of these communications or save your messages. We do not log, track or otherwise exploit any metadata or information about your communications. This means that we do not know or record how often you use the app, how many messages you send or to whom you send them.

To put it simply: when you send messages via peer-to-peer, everything is sent directly between you and your contacts, and there is no technical way of intercepting your content.

Account and Profile Information. The only identifiable information we collect about you is the username and email address you provide during sign up. Optionally, you may also specify a phone number used for two-factor authentication. This information is used to create and maintain your account and subscription but will never be shared with third parties. You have the option to keep your contact list and detailed profile info (name, profile photo, and bio) on your local device or synchronize it between all of your devices. If you willingly choose to synchronize it, your contact list will be encrypted and saved on our servers so that it can be synchronized between your devices, but it will be otherwise unusable to us, or anyone else, (we do not have your encryption keys) and will never be shared with anyone.

Analytics. We use Google Analytics on the Call.Me website as an analytics provider (but never in the Call.Me app or web app). We use it to measure our main site’s performance and visitors but are unable to match this data with any user data to identify you individually. To learn more about the privacy policy of Google Analytics, refer to Google’s Policies and Principles. Use the Google Analytics Opt-Out browser add-on to prevent to analytics information from being sent to Google Analytics.

Note that there are no analytics plugins on the logged-in section of the website.

Cookies and Other Tracking Technologies. We use cookies to improve and customize Call.Me Services and your experience; it allows you to access and use websites or SaaS Products without re-entering your username or password every time. You can however instruct your browser to stop accepting cookies or to prompt you before accepting a cookie from websites you visit. Your browser’s Options menu will have your cookie settings. If you do not accept cookies, however, you may not be able to use all aspects of our website and may need to log in several times during one session.

If you decide to participate in a survey, contest, promotion, event, or if you request customer support, or communicate via third party social media sites or via our main website, some of your personal data may be collected or may be visible publicly.
